Marion WaveMix™

Microwave, Vacuum and Mixing

Marion’s WaveMix thermal processor combines three technologies for outstanding results in terms of drying time, handling of sensitive materials, and precision quality output. WaveMix combines microwave, mixing and vacuum technology to provide cost-effective and rapid thermal processing that is particularly useful in handling sensitive materials, and in preserving pigmentation as well as the nutritional and chemical value of materials.

The WaveMix™ creates a consistent, highly controlled environment for materials to be processed. Since 2014, this technology has been used in a variety of industrial applications, including carbon black, calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide, chlorine powder, dried foods and pharmaceuticals, food-grade gelatin, ceramic poppants, and green coffee beans.

Intrinsically, WaveMix™ is a safer technology because the machinery does not heat up to dangerous temperatures. The addition of nitrogen purging of the equipment also protects against potential of pressure build-up and displaces reactive gas, eliminating risks of fires or explosions.

  • Precision results and consistent output every time
  • Time savings and reduced drying times compared to other technology
  • Repeatable results
  • Precise temperature control and management, with immediate adjustments possible during the drying process
  • Lowered boiling point for heat-sensitive materials
  • Moisture content management
  • No case hardening or burning
  • Quiet and low footprints
  • Eliminate material loss due to burning, overprocessing or underprocessing
  • Quality results in maintaining flavorcolor, nutritional value and other characteristics of the material being processed
  • Sanitary and easy to clean
  • Safety
  • Gentle processing for sensitive materials
  • Scalability
  • Ability to test using trial batches
  • Flexibility for materials that are neither perfect electrical conductors nor perfect electrical insulators
